    This is a real search for someone else: six gifts, best first, what independent reviewers love and moan about with links to the reviews, and a score out of 10. Fill in the slip, then hit “Go find actual products” for yours.

      How the score works

      AI does the searching. Humans do the reviews. An AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) reads your answers, searches independent review sites such as Tom's Guide, OutdoorGearLab and CHOICE, and shortlists products the people there rate well. Every review a pick relies on is linked so you can read it yourself. We don't test products ourselves.

      Every gift gets the same test: six checks, weighted by how much they matter, then deductions for anything you told us to leave out. That puts your picks in order.

      Then we grade on a curve. The best match in your results scores 10, the weakest scores 5, and the rest land in between depending on how far behind the leader they are. So the numbers tell you how much better the top pick really is. Tap “Why” on any pick to see the working.

      “What reviewers say” is how well the exact product does in independent reviews we can find and link to. A product with no independent review loses most of those points, so it can't sneak into the top three on charm.
